Our cattle roam freely across more than 2,000 acres of natural, biodiverse rangeland in California’s Central Coast, nestled in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. Zaca Creek Beef cattle are raised without hormones, antibiotics, or vaccines—ever.
At Zaca Creek Ranch, we’re always refining the way we steward our land and raise our cattle.
Starting Summer 2026, all of our beef will be either 100% grass-finished or grain-finished using a NON-GMO, CORN FREE and SOY FREE grain.
This shift reflects our commitment to quality, transparency, and producing beef you can feel good about feeding your family.

About Our Beef
While even “certified organic” beef from other producers often involves multiple rounds of vaccinations, our cattle are never given shots of any kind. They thrive on green grass and sunshine!
Our animals live low-stress lives, and the rich, natural flavor of their meat reflects that care. Most of our cattle are “finished” briefly on a wholesome mix of corn, almond husks, and natural grains—while always having access to clean water and ample space. For those who prefer it, fully grass-finished beef is also available upon request.
